In a world of white work trucks, William Earl’s red truck stood out, but his generic business cards weren’t doing his business justice. My goal for Sadler Painting was to create a digital logo that connected what was already on his truck to his business cards, t-shirts, and other materials. These high-gloss business cards are attention-getters, bright and clean, like a freshly painted wall.
I like to do pencil sketches, and here I’m exploring ways to say “house painting” but still reflect the owner’s dynamic personality and love of music. Sketches become comps, and I turn the final idea into digital art that is high-resolution and ready to be printed, big or small.
